"Art for me has always been a way to deal with both traumatic events and situations in my life as well as happy and positive ones.
The direction that my art has taken over the past few years has evolved so much. Art began as an escape away from pain thru sketches and drawings. Art keeps me grounded and is a way to let go of pain and work through it. Over the past two years my art has evolved, and I started to paint, I wanted to change my narrative, I wanted to become more uplifting and positive for myself and began to paint ideas of where I wanted myself to be mentally and physically. My art began to take on a life of it's own and I became inspired by life and it's beauty. At times when life was far from beautiful, I painted about feelings and thoughts that inspired me to be in a healthier mental state and to stay there. I am excited to see where this artistic journey takes me and continue to learn and evolve each day. "
